The Families in Broadcasting Scholarship is a unique opportunity for the Massachusetts Broadcasters Association to strengthen the broadcasting community in the Bay State.  Each year we offer up to ten, $1,000 scholarships to the children of our members, regardless of their area of study.  That means if your dependent is going to school in September, they qualify!

To apply, students must fill out our short application, including their latest high school or college transcripts, school and extracurricular activities as well as a short essay.  Each application  must  be certified by the stations General Manager, confirming the parent or guardians full-time status at the station.  Applications can be found on MassBroadcasters.org and must be postmarked by Friday, May 8.

A panel of outside state broadcaster association executives will read and rank each application to determine the ten winners.  We will notify applicants by June 5 and schedule check presentations with the winners.

Since 2012, the MBA has awarded $25,000 through the Families in Broadcasting Scholarship program.  Any questions can be directed to the MBA office by phone or by emailing jordan@localhost or brittany@localhost.
Download an application from our website HERE and make sure to postmark applications by Friday, May 8.  Good luck!
