Founded in 1954, the Massachusetts Broadcasters Association (MBA) is a voluntary trade association representing nearly 200 over-the-air radio and television broadcasters in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
The MBA’s chief responsibility is to protect and promote the interests of broadcasters. The MBA also assists members with broadcast and general business related challenges. We offer educational seminars, legal hotlines, lobbying representation (in Massachusetts and in Washington, D.C.), the opportunity to network with other broadcasters, as well as a platform to provide broadcasters with the most up-to-date industry news and trends.
The MBA also works to promote careers in broadcasting as exciting and fulfilling career choices. Via job fairs, Equal Employment Opportunity webinars and an online job bank at massbroadcasters.org, the MBA works together with broadcasters throughout Massachusetts and surrounding states to disseminate job postings and applicant resumes to the public. The MBA office also maintains an online database of resumes to aid stations in filling their open positions.
As a member of the National Alliance of State Broadcasters’ Associations (NASBA), the MBA works closely with sister associations throughout the country to bring new ideas and the latest services to our membership.
